Dear Don,
I was very delighted to discover your sight
today. I grew up in a Pontiac dealership in Polk County, NE.
My father and his brother started the business in 1929 and took on the
Pontiac/GMC dealership after the war in 1946. It remained a family
business until dad's death in 1975. Many of the parts, manuals and
dealership mementos are still in the family.
I have close to the very same model in the popular
two-tone green that is on your registry page. I would like to register
a.s.a.p.
Thanks much for keeping a great legacy alive!

I
am very glad you found our site. Keeping the legacy alive is exactly why
I started this site. I have only known these great cars for the last ten
years and have yet to drive one! People like your father and uncle are
the ones that we should honor for making Pontiacs a part of all our lifes.
We can do that best by keeping our cars looking good and on the road where
they were meant to be.
Lorlin also asked to
have some want ads posted. Go to the classified page and see what he needs
and maybe find some parts for yourself. Hope to get a picture soon. In
the meantime I am using a drawing from an old ad that ran in "The Satruday
Evening Post". Please send some first hand stories about what it
was like to grow up so close to these Pontiacs. Anyone out there have a
Pontiac that was first sold in Polk County?
Don
