Charles tells us about his Pontiac:
This car was originally purchased by Ron Brogan in 1948 when he got out of the navy. He used it as his sole means of transportation until he passed away in early 1989. I did some work for Ron on it over the years and bought it from his estate. It has the straight eight engine with hydra-matic and is repainted to the original Mariner blue metallic. I have a copy of the original invoice from 1948, which states it is a Torpedo 8 deluxe convertible sedan coupe - Mariner Blue, Hydra-Matic Drive.
I can't drive it anywhere without a crowd of people gathering around it. I will send a picture soon.
I have a supply of reconditioned steering sector shafts with bushings, also pitman shaft seals and steering housing gaskets if anyone needs these.  Also I serve as the Technical Advisor for straight eight engine rebuild for POCI.
Thanks Charles, Thanks for mailing the picture. Looks like fun! -Don
