Hello,
    I am restoring a 1948 Streamliner, but until today, I was told that I had a Torpedo. Thanks to your knowledge I now know that I have a Streamliner. I found your site by going into P.O.C.I. links, then to Tri-State Chapter, then to 1942-1948 Registry. I was so glad to find you.
   To tell you a little about our car, Christine, (named by her previous owner because she accidentally backed over his restored 56 Ford.) She was quite a piece of junk, a basket case. It was love at first sight. She was gray primer with black painted bumpers. Her seats were just springs with a little cotton that had found its way to the bear floor. Her headliner was gone but her dome light worked. Her dash panel was in a box in the trunk along with a radio, assorted lights ,nuts,bolts etc... It has taken us several months to get her to this point. The worse thing was finding a new fender which she destroyed when she gently pushed the Ford up over a curb and into her front yard.
   She has new paint, covered seats and carpet, as close to original as possible. Christine has all of her original parts....minus a few nuts and bolts, and the rear fender (the one that she used to move the Ford). She is in need of the two pieces of chrome that go under the doors toward the front of the car. When we find these chrome strips we will be ready to have her chromed. By the way she runs great.
   Its nice to find someone interested in this year of Pontiac. Thanks for your Information and thanks for being there, great site.
