Jan-Willem tells us about his Pontiac:
It has a Dutch registration at this moment: DR-49-84.  It was bought by the previous owner (a Belgian) in Pensylvania.
The previous owner had the car for about 8 years drove not more than 1000 miles during that period.
After buying the car I had to renew the brake cylinders, (master and wheel) tighten up some bolts and nuts, install some springs on brake levers etc. and I was ready to drive. Since then I had to replace the battery and the dynamo.
When we are driving to fast one of the valves is sticking in the guide and makes a tapping noise, I depress the clutch let it tick over stationary for a few seconds and away is the tapping sound. I plan to disassemble the engine sooner or later to solve this problem but this also means that we cannot drive in the car during that period. I would like to know if another Pontiac engine (newer) can be installed without too much hassle. Other than the issue with the valve I think it is a marvelous car.
It was recently used for a wedding of one of my collegues where the picture was taken.
             Kind regards,
                                           Jan-Willem van Iperen

        Jan-Willem,
Great to hear from you and I appreciate the fine job you did in sending your cars info and photo. I really hate the fact that I have to "shrink" the photos that are sent to me. I wish I had the webspace to use them all full size!
Your car is from one of the "smaller" production runs. I will have to check someday to find the "rarest" car in our registry. Yours is one of them, and given how far away from home it is now, it is truly a special Pontiac.
I also had or have a valve problem with my 47-2507.  I installed a Vaco Inc. Top cylinder Oiler that injects Marvel Mystery Oil into the manifold. It seems to have solved the problem but since I have not driven the car yet I am not sure.  Does anyone else have a solution for this problem?
                                                                                                                    Good luck, -Don
