Joe tells us about his Pontiac:
I am not to sure where to start. I bought this 1948 Pontiac Silverstreak from a family friend. He said the car had been parked for over 25 years and by the looks of it I believe him! It is all original, the only pieces missing are the hood ornament, and spare tire. It also needs to be painted and everything else, if you know what I mean. I am just starting my trip on trying to find repair manuals and other connections to parts I might need.
As far as the history of the car goes, it has been in the Inland Empire since its birth. I am just the fourth owner. The one previous owner was the son of the second owner, and the first owner was an owner of a bar in Fontana. That's about as much as I know right now. I'm going to send the info into the Pontiac Historic Services to see what else I can find out.
Thanks and I'll update the photos as quick as I can. -Joe

Way to go Joe! Looks like you have a big project ahead of you. Keep us updated and I hope that little guy can learn about your car too. He should make a fine helper.  Fontana or the "Inland Empire" is less than an hour away for me.
I should try to stop by someday and see how things are going.  -Don
