Pete tells us about his Pontiac:
My car sat for many years in Anchorage Kentucky.  A friend of mine bought it and traded me for my Corvette which I was sick of putting money into. I stripped the car down to bare metal last summer, and then primed it. I have all the original owners manuals and the auto wallet that came with the car. I also have a 1953 Buick Special that I drive daily (on
nice days). I found your sit ewhile browsing for 1947 Pontiac pics. Again thanks for the nice welcome and I'll send out pics soon.

When I asked what an "auto wallet" was I got this prompt response-
        Don,
The auto wallet is the vinyl pouch that the owners manual is placed in.
It says "auto wallet" on it. I sent out pics today . Talk to you soon.
                                                                Pete
Has anyone else seen or heard of an Auto Wallet? I wonder if it was a dealer option.

Well, good luck on your paint job Pete! Send another photo when you get it finished. You have the same model as I do, which makes it the 3rd one to be registered.  I have had mine painted for a while now and hope to get it put back together soon!
Thanks-Don
