My car was purchased at auction from collection of
deceased Pontiac dealer. The car originally came from Maryland.
My gas tank leaked like a seive when I got the car. After taking
it off and cleaning it, I found about thirty holes in it. I plugged
these with a gas tank sealer and then sealed the inside of the tank with
a POR 15 kit being very careful to get it as clean as possible and absolutely
dry before installing the sealer. I found using a vacumn cleaner
and directing the flow through the tank really helped to thoroughly dry
it. So far, so good.
My old car also has 13/16 lug nuts which had me
puzzled for a while. Evidenty, other general motor vehicles with
a large hole pattern with 3/4 lug nuts will fit. Why
would the lugs be different sizes? I thought I could not find other
wheels for it. Like, all of these old cars, the left hand threads
on the lugs ares a little confusing also until we notice that one bolt
is marked with a L.
