Jack tells us about his Pontiac:
My Pontiac is a Canadian series # 20-27 built by G.M. at Oshawa, Ont. Jan.27th  & shipped on Jan. 28th 1948. It was
No. 6 of 339 built in 1948. The Canadian Pontiacs are identical to Chevrolet Models in all respects except for engine, grill, instrument panel & badging (emblems). Most parts from the American Model are not compatible with Canadian Models. At present the coupe is under a frame up restoration. To date all mechanical work, including the engine, has been gone over. The frame has been sandblasted, painted and the body is back on. There is a primer coat of paint on the body, however more work is required. I hope to make this car as original as possible. I am hoping to have it completely restored within a year.I will forward a picture when the work has been completed. I fully intend to drive and enjoy the car, and not just make it a show
piece. Presently I am also registered with the Canadian Pontiac Club, The Pontiac Oakland Club, the Antique & Classic Car club of Canada, & the Antique Auto club of Ottawa. If more info is required, please do not
hesitate to e-mail me for the information.

Wow! Another beautiful Pontiac from up north. Good luck on the restoration. It looked pretty good as it was. I wish I could see it up close when it gets done. I hope to get the info that you sent about the Canadian models online soon.  Thanks-Don
10-10-01 Got this update from Jack:
