Bill tells us about his Pontiac
Bill Sablosky's 48 came with an automatic transmission and he says that the Radio still works! He has owned his car since September 1997 and it is registered in New York. Bill says the flames stay for this year but maybe he will repaint next year.
Bill tells us...
" I’d been looking for a fast back for quite some and last Sept. I was at Happy Days restaurant, our Tuesday night cruise spot and this car rolls in. I fell in love, 2 weeks later it was mine. I put 2 new six volt headlights, new exhaust system and universal joints and away I went. Its been real fun so far and I am planning to drive it to the national convention in Sturbridge this year. Maybe I’ll see you there? Keep up the good work on the page and I’ll check back on it to see your progress."

Here is an update from Bill
       Don,
Just took a look at the site, a thing of beauty. Started taking the front and rear bumpers off, going to take it to a friend of mine who is going to sandblast the flames off for me. Those flames were good luck for me. I received a second place plaque at the national Pontiac convention in Sturbridge Mass in July and my car made the POCI web page and is in a picture in the September issue, page 14 of Smoke Signals magazine. I hope to rebuild the motor also.(Used 10 quarts of oil going to and from the convention) Keep up the wonderful work, I will be watching.    Bill Sablosky (10-16-98)

Bill was kind enough to send Larry Crider and his 48 wagon over to the site. When I thanked him he sent this reply-
   Don,
Good to hear from you again. Winters really bearing down on us in Rochester but before all the deep snow fell I managed to get the 48 stripped, no more flames. I actually drove it in to the strippers and back, luckily it didn't snow for two days before I brought it back to the garage. I took some pictures and as soon as I get them developed I'll e-mail you a copy. Until then, keep up the good work on the site. Bill (1-15-99)
Thanks for the support! Let me know when you have a new picture without the flames. I think I will leave the old one up too. I like it alot and would miss it if it was gone!  -Don
