Rich tells us about his Pontiac:
Mine is not a show car but a daily driver (at least when the sun shines here).  I like many others, grew up loving Chevys and I always thought that I would buy a 54 Bel-Air 2 door like my first car. After a trip to the "End of the World Rod Run" in 95, I couldn't wait any longer. I had decided that I wanted a convertible. I looked around for a while and nothing turned up until one day a 48 Pontiac convertible was advertised.  That is the year I was born so I decided to go take a look.  My wife and I fell in love with "the CHIEF" that day and bought it immediately.  It had been restored about 6 years prior and was lacking nothing to drive it away.  I have returned the wheels and tires back to stock but added a Edmonds duel carb intake and a custom set of headers.  This year I got tired of recharging the 12v battery in the trunk that supplied the amp and tape deck and installed 2 6v batteries in series and charge them with a 12v alternator. The car still is all 6v but I also have 12v available for my accesories. Each year I have something rechromed. The picture above was taken by a friend at the parade following this year's  "End of the World Rod Run".
Rich found our site through the ad in "Smoke Signals" (POCI magazine).
Thanks for the great picture.
Looks like more fun than a '54 Bel Air. Way to go!    - Don
