I found the site through a search engine.
Dave tells us about his "new" Pontiac:
     Hey Donald,
As you already know I just purchased the car. It has the original 8 cylinder in it and was running and somewhat drivable Even though the looks like it has custom paint it is not it is just primered and has what I call test flame paint on it. The car needs to be blocked sanded and have some small imperfections fixed and repainted. The floor pan is in pretty good shape except for the spare tire wheel well that has a hole large enough for me to put my foot through it and a bad spot near the front left door where the body mount is. The interior of this car is in need of restoration but it is all there except for the door panels.
I have driven the car back and forth to work and installed wheel cylinder kits on all four wheels so at least it stops good. I have yet to decide exactly what I am going to do with this car. Thought about putting it on a 1981 Bonniville frame and turning this car into a street rod, but these cars look good in origonal condition too. So I guess time will tell and as the restoration or rebuild comes along I will send more Pictures.
                                                                                                Thanks, David Welch Sr.

        Dave,
Sounds like you have a bit of work to do. I'll bet you it'll ride smoother (and be a lot less work) on the original frame!  Those flames remind me of the ones on Bill Sablosky's car which happens to be the first car I made a webpage for. Bill has since replaced the flames and I can't remember if I updated his photo yet. I think I will miss the old one when I do finally get around to updating it!
And I also want to thank Dave for sending his complete info along with a photo right off the bat. It sure made my job easier!
                                                                                                                                        Thanks-Don
