Peter found our site with a websearch for "47-48 Pontiac"
Peter tells us about his Pontiac:
        Hello,
My name is Peter Von Wingeron and I would like to join your registry. I have a 1947 pontiac that I love and drive everyday. It is all original except the paint as the original owner had it repainted in 1958. The inside is all original, inc the radio. The car came with NOS parts that the original owner bought from a Pontiac dealer in Allentown Pa.  Brand new complete
grill, all the inside knobs, orig. fog and search lamp, every type of option, brand new front and rear fenders all the light lens,
a box of original guide headlamps, all the guages, rubber runningboard, the rear chrome lock and handle and plate holder.
I would need two pages to list all the parts. He bought them in the 1950s just to collect them for the car, the car does not even
need all those parts. The parts that are on the car are in very good shape.
I also have all kinds of repair books, orig GM parts books and all the sales stuff and the orig bill of sale. The car only has 48,978 miles on it. I have also included photos of the car and number plate. Please let me know what you think of this.
        Thank you very much,
    Peter Von Wingeron

Well I'll tell you what I think- It sounds like you made a heck of a find. And a beautiful one at that! Peter gave me some more details about how he found this car. He was actually with a friend looking at another car and found and bought this one without knowing about all of the "spare parts" that went with it!  Sounds like a sweet deal.
Peter also tells me that he is a machinist who specializes in making parts for restoring cars, especially Mercedes Benz.  I am impressed with his knowledge and he may turn out to be a valuable asset to our little group! So welcome aboard and I hope you make yourself at home.
                                                                                        Thanks-Don
P.S. Peter also sent a few more nice pictures, and what do you think of the tag picture? I think I will start encouraging the new contacts to snap a photo of theirs. It is a bit easier for me to not have to make them up as I have done in the past, and I think it adds aonther personal touch to your pages.
